Cutest Place card Holders!

What do you get when you combine old wooden thread spools, yarn and dollar tree pumpkins? The darlingest little place card holders!
Uses include putting them on your dining table to mark people’s seating assignments for special dinners, place fun little sayings on them for your mantel or windowsills. And did I say its the worlds easiest craft project? Seriously….SO EASY.

With only 4 items and a glue gun, you’re in business! I bought a bag of old wooden thread spools at a yard sale a few years back for only a few bucks but I always see them in thrift store crafting areas. Do you know how many things you can do with old thread spools?! It’s amazing when you start searching for ideas! This easy project took more time to heat up the glue gun than it did to assemble them. LOL

I bought a package of small 1.5 inch Styrofoam pumpkins at Dollar Tree, gathered some paperclips and yarn I had on hand from a big pom-pom making binge and got to work! I wound yard around the spools, glued the pumpkins onto the tops, glued the paperclips into the pumpkins with a teeny dot of hot glue and…..VOILA! You’re all done with the cutest little place cards holders ever!

You could use any kind of topper that would fit, and different colors of yard for whatever season your celebrating. I’m thinking Styrofoam Easter eggs toppers would be cute too! Just use pastel colored yard on the spools.
The great thing about this combination is it can go from September all the way through Thanksgiving! Just change out the signage sayings and you have multiple ways to use them. Oh! and what a fun little gift to give your friends, family or co-workers! Easy Peasy!
Have a Blessed and Wonderfully Gnomie Day!
